Jules Eustice, is suing Pride Roofing LLC, operating as Pride Roofing and Construction LLC, in Harrison County Circuit Court, alleging negligence, breach of warranty, and unjust enrichment. Eustice is seeking a minimum of $60,000 to cover his losses, along with punitive damages, interest, and attorney’s fees. Eustice signed a contract with Pride Roofing in April 2021 after his downtown dental office’s roof was damaged by Hurricane Zeta in October 2020. Gloversville, NY– A construction company owner has been sentenced after attempting to cover up a worksite injury by moving a dying employee’s body. Jeremiah Wiedemann, 43, of Gloversville, who owns Wiedemann Sons Roofing, had not purchased workers’ compensation insurance. Prosecutors suggested this was his motive for hiding the injury.  Wiedemann received a sentence of five years’ probation and a fine. He pleaded guilty to the felony charge of tampering with physical evidence. Duluth, MN– A roofer working on a Duluth home died after he was electrocuted. Duluth police say the incident happened around 10:30 Thursday morning, May 30. Their initial investigation shows that a roofer was climbing a ladder with a metal rain gutter on North 17th Avenue East. At some point the metal gutter came into contact with a power line, electrocuting him. A police spokesperson says the man was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. His name has not been released until next of kin is notified.
