Roofing Crew Assaulted in Armed Robbery in Georgia

Clinch County, Georgia. — An investigation is underway by the GBI after a roofing crew was assaulted and robbed. The incident took place in Homerville, GA on December 23rd.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, one man was hospitalized after being shot during an armed robbery. Two others were also assaulted and treated at a local hospital before being released. The three men were part of an out-of-state roofing crew working on storm damaged roofs in Georgia.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. The identities of the three men have not been released.

Anyone with information should call the Homerville Police Department at 912-487-5306 or the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Douglas at 912-389-4103. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling 1-800-597-8477, submitting a tip online or downloading the See Something, Send Something mobile app.
