BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT — Early Thursday morning, August 31, police arrested a man from Bridgeport and a woman from New Haven who were allegedly trying to steal $731 worth of roofing shingles from a local roofing company. Saginaw, Michigan–  A 28-year-old man from Bridgeport Township is in critical condition after a dramatic crash over the weekend in Saginaw, according to local police. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, when the man lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a house at the intersection of Hess Road and Beechwood Avenue. Mill Hall, PA — A 27-year-old roofing contractor was killed Friday, September 6, at Central Mountain High School in Clinton County. According to State Police, Kyler Keller of Lewistown was climbing a ladder with a 5-gallon bucket when the ladder shifted. Keller fell 30 feet to the concrete below. Police said that although another worker was holding the ladder at the base, the top shifted as Keller tried to put the bucket on the roof. Saybrook Township, Ohio– A roofer was electrocuted on Thursday afternoon, August 30, while carrying a ladder. The incident happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 6400 block of Lake Road West, according to local firefighters. Saybrook Township Fire Chief John Jyurovat reported that the man, an employee of a roofing company, was on-site completing a job when the accident happened. As he was carrying an aluminum ladder upright, trying to maneuver around a tree, he inadvertently came into contact with a low-hanging, live wire carrying 7,620 volts.
