Win More Proposals With a Custom Marketing Page

Most roofing proposals look the same to a homeowner: a PDF with a price, some line items, and maybe a logo at the top. If you’re sending that same generic document to every prospect, you’re leaving your best sales tool on the table.

A customized marketing page, sometimes called a personalized proposal page, is built for one homeowner specifically. It might use their name, their address, before photos of their actual roof, and messaging tailored to what they told you during the inspection. Instead of a static PDF, it feels like it was made for them, because it was.

Why it works

Homeowners are comparing you against two or three other contractors, and most of those proposals will look interchangeable. A page that references their specific roof, their specific concerns, and includes photos from their own property signals something a generic quote never can: that you were actually paying attention. That’s a trust signal before you’ve said another word.

What to include

  • The homeowner’s name and address, prominently
  • Photos from their actual inspection, not stock images
  • A short, plain-language summary of what you found and why it matters
  • Your recommended scope of work, broken into clear options if you’re offering good/better/best pricing
  • Reviews or testimonials, ideally from similar jobs in their neighborhood
  • A clear, easy next step- a button or link to accept, schedule, or ask a question

Where this pays off fastest

If you’re doing a high volume of storm or insurance work, a templated but personalized page saves enormous time over building a proposal from scratch every time, while still feeling custom to the homeowner reading it. Roofing estimating and proposal software such as JobNimbus’s estimating tools are one option that can generate these on the fly using your existing job photos and notes, so “custom” doesn’t mean “time-consuming.”

A better-looking proposal doesn’t replace good work or a fair price. But when the decision comes down to two similar quotes, the one that feels personal usually wins.
