Saginaw, Michigan–  A 28-year-old man from Bridgeport Township is in critical condition after a dramatic crash over the weekend in Saginaw, according to local police. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, when the man lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a house at the intersection of Hess Road and Beechwood Avenue.

The collision caused the truck to catch fire, significantly damaging the residence. A video that surfaced on social media shows the driver lying motionless on the roof of the home after the crash. He eventually regained consciousness before firefighters from the Saginaw Fire Department used ladders to safely bring him down.

Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition as of Monday morning. Thankfully, the three people inside the home at the time of the crash were unharmed.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident and are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Saginaw police at 989-759-1439.
