Danvers, Massachusetts– A roofing worker died Wednesday morning after falling from the roof of a home in Danvers, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

Police were called to a residence on Briarwood Drive in Danvers around 8:15 a.m. after reports that a worker had fallen from the roof. When officers arrived, they found the injured roofer at the scene, the district attorney’s office said in a press release.

The worker was transported to Beverly Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.

According to officials, the worker was employed by a roofing company based in Salem, New Hampshire. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also responded to the scene and is involved in the investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation by the district attorney’s office, OSHA, and local authorities. No additional details have been released at this time.
